Piers Morgan issues defiant warning to critics ahead of Good Morning Britain return

Piers Morgan has issued a defiant warning to his critics as he gets set to present Good Morning Britain for the first time in months.

Piers and his regular co-host Susanna Reid shocked viewers of the ITV show in the middle of July, when they revealed they'd be taking an extended summer break.

This came after both had pretty much been ever present faces on GMB throughout lockdown, apart from when Piers took some time off after being tested for coronavirus and Susanna had to self-isolate for a spell due to a family member displaying symptoms.

Former Britain's Got Talent judge Piers has always been something of a controversial character and divided opinion with his his live on air take downs of Government officials like Health Secretary Matt Hancock.

His interviews sparked thousands of complaints to Ofcom in a matter of months so some viewers aren't too happy that he will be back to front GMB from Tuesday, having been replaced by the likes of Ben Shephard and Adil Ray.

But, as ever, Pier isn't letting his critics stand in his way and 24 hours before his big comeback, had strong words from them online.

He tweeted: "Memo to all trolls telling me they will not watch @GMB when I return tomorrow: if you carry out your threat, you're banned from ever watching @GMB again. Final warning."

As ever, his words sparked a reaction. Showing their support, one fan reacted: "I definitely will be watching. Piers and Susanna are the best thing to happen to breakfast TV.

"No one is compelled to watch, but I’m sure the trolls won’t be able to resist as they feed off something to criticise," and another posted: "I definitely will be watching. Piers and Susanna are the best thing to happen to breakfast TV. No one is compelled to watch, but I’m sure the trolls won’t be able to resist as they feed off something to criticise."

However, there were others who aren't too pleased about his return to work, with one critic complaining: "I used to enjoy you but you just attack an give no one a chance to respond! No sense in watching you!"
