Piers Morgan clears out GMB office but leaves one thing behind

Piers Morgan has cleared out his Good Morning Britain office after quitting the show earlier this month.

Mr Morgan left the ITV breakfast show following comments he made about Meghan Markle's Oprah interview.

Ofcom revealed the more than 41,000 had complained about Mr Morgan's comments and The Duchess of Sussex also complained to Ofcom and ITV directly.

Mr Morgan left the show with immediate effect with ITV announcing his departure in a short statement.

A permanent replacement is yet to be found for the outspoken host, but for now Ben Shephard has been filling in for him.

Mr Morgan confirmed he wouldn't be returning to GMB ever, despite a petition for his return getting thousands of signatures.

But today he went into the show to clear his things and shared a post to Instagram.

Mr Morgan shared a photo of his office filled with packed boxes.

There was also a cardboard cutout of Susanna Reid in the corner and Mr Morgan spoke about it in the caption.

He said: "Goodbye, Good Morning Britain!

"(I think I’ll leave the cardboard cut-out, would be a bit creepy to take that home...)"

His followers were quick to comment on the post with many of them mourning his departure.
