Piers Morgan has taken a scathing sweep at Meghan Markle after she 'performed' a string of 'embarrassing' pranks during a segment on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
The Duchess of Sussex appeared on the show to promote her new children's book, The Bench, but in Piers' toe curling critique for The Daily Mail, he compares her behaviour to that of a ''desperate reality star''.
The segment in question saw the former senior royal carry out a string of 'embarrassing' pranks on street vendors, while carrying out orders from Ellen on a secret microphone.
But the trio of 'nauseating' stunts saw Meghan carry out tasks including performing a squat, holding a large crystal to her head and tasting hot sauce.
Piers penned in his column: "By this point I needed my sick bucket to go ew, ew, ew.
''Honestly, it all made me genuinely want to puke.
''This is a senior member of the British Royal Family whose husband Prince Harry is sixth in line to the throne, behaving like a gormless desperate reality TV starlet.''
But the former GMB presenter didn't end there as he continued to let rip on her behaviour.
He added: ''Royals don't do this kind of thing for a very good reason.
"The public expects them to behave in a regal manner, that is the mystique that preserves the Monarchy."
And in summing up the stunts he said they would have been 'beneath' and 'brand damaging' even for the likes of reality TV stars such as the Kardashians.
He added: "That's how puerile and embarrassing it was.
"For a British royal to demean herself in such a way is completely unacceptable.
"Not just because it made Meghan Markle look ridiculous, but because it made the British Monarchy look ridiculous."
But Piers view wasn't the only one expressed as fans of the former Suits star took to Twitter.
One fan celebrating her shenanigans wrote: “lol meghan markle playing with crystals and fake changing on ellen is DEFINITELY the wackiest thing a royal has ever done."
Another posted: "okay Meghan Markle is heckin' funny I'm dying."
A third added: ''Meghan Duchess of Sussex is a good sport. I would NEVER have done those stunts!!!!!!! What a wonderful woman!''
One of the audience’s fave moments in the bit was when Markle had to perform a kitten song for a stranger outside, pretending it was a song she sang to her children.
To which another on Twitter responded: ''Meww, meww, meww, meww. I'm a kitten, meww, meww, meww. I'm gonna be fired today. I'm LMAO.''
