Pierre Desir could generate interest from Giants

As the legal tampering period begins to heat up Monday, several former Indianapolis Colts will be hitting the market, including cornerback Pierre Desir.

The veteran cornerback had another solid season for the Colts in 2018 but is set to test the market. A team that reportedly has interest in Desir is the New York Giants, who will be in the market for a veteran cornerback, per Ryan Dunleavy NJ Advance Media.

If he reaches free agency, one name that will interest the Giants is Colts cornerback Pierre Desir, according to a source with knowledge of the team’s thinking.

Desir has a strong second half for the Colts in 2018. With the entire unit playing better, the 28-year-old emerged as a starter down the stretch and helped the secondary take a big step forward in coverage.

The Colts have expressed desire to re-sign Desir, but they are also allowing him to test the market as well, which is what they did last season before bringing him back.

It will be interesting to see how free agency shakes out, but the Giants should be considered among the suitors for the veteran Desir.
