The Boston Celtics have had a bad habit of playing down to their opponents when they are faced with a ball club missing a key player. And after word broke that Miami Heat star forward Jimmy Butler would miss the game due to a death in his family, a trap game scenario emerged for the Celtics.
And it very nearly was one for Boston, with the Heat nearly stealing a win despite losing Terry Rozier and Josh Richardson to injury and Caleb Martin turning his ankle as well. But the Celtics emerged with a 110-106 win, holding Miami to just 30.0% from deep and winning the block battle by 7 rejections.
