The Boston Celtics started their tilt against the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center looking listless and bored, and the Nets capitalized on that uninspired play to jump out to a small lead in the first half a few times. The Celtics responded late in the second quarter, but the Nets hung around until the end of the game’s final frame to get their fifth win of the season with a 124-114 road victory.
Boston held Brooklyn to just 32.7% from beyond the arc but did not fare much better from deep, going just 33.3% from 3. Making 85.2% of their free throws to the Nets’ 64.7%, but turning the ball over at nearly twice the rate Brooklyn did (11 to 6) did Boston few favors. But the Celtics got the win, which is what matters.
