Phillip Schofield This Morning 'replacement' confirmed as ITV announces next week's presenters

ITV This Morning has confirmed its presenters for next week’s episodes. Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary made the announcement at the end of Friday’s episode.

The programme is currently in the midst of controversy following the shock exit of former host Phillip Schofield, who has since revealed that he had a “not illegal but unwise” affair with a production runner. Phillip's former Monday-Thursday co-host Holly Willoughby has been away from our screens after taking an early half-term break.

Who is hosting This Morning next week?

Alison and Dermot confirmed that Holly Willoughby and Josie Gibson would be on the This Morning sofa on Monday, June 5. It marks the first time that Holly has appeared since the Phillip scandal.

After Phillip revealed details on his affair Holly made a statement on social media, which read: "It's taken time to process yesterday's news. When reports of this relationship first surfaced, I asked Phil directly if this was true and was told it was not. It's been very hurtful to now find out that this was a lie. Holly."

During his interview with Amol, Phillip described how he’d messaged Holly after making a statement about the affair. “I WhatsApped her on the day I put out the statement. I said that you don't have to reply, you probably can't, but I want to say I'm desperately, desperately sorry.” According to Phillip, Holly hasn’t replied.

This Morning airs on weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX from 10am.
