Phillip Schofield can't keep straight face as dog yoga trainer pants at her pooch

Phillip Schofield couldn't keep a straight face on today's This Morning during a dog yoga class.

Chief Yogi Mahny Djahanguiri led a unique 'Doga' session from her home with Robbie - her Maltese Terrier.

Mahny explained how owners can work with their dogs to stretch and tone using techniques designed with both of them in mind.

The pair were no strangers to fame as Robbie weed on David Walliams ' shoe on Britain's Got Talent in 2017 and was humped by another dog on a previous This Morning.

They embarked on another spiritual journey which started with Mahny keeping her lips closed and breathing on her nose with Robbie on her lap.

This transitioned into the 'boat position' with the dog becoming the sailor - then Mahny started exhaling through her mouth.

As she panted on Robbie, he started climbing up and licking her mouth, which she tried to ignore.

But Phillip and co-host Holly Willoughby struggled to keep a straight face during the hysterical moment.

Before the session, Mahny explained what the difference between Doga and normal yoga is.

She said: "Yoga for you the human and your dog. The most important thing is we focus on ourselves and breathing and that will transfer to our dogs.

"You don't necessarily have to have your dog participating in your yoga practise for him to absorb your clam. This is the beauty about Doga, it work with your dog watching from the side."

Phillip was left shaking his head at Holly when she asked what equipment was needed - and said: "I guess you need a dog."

Explaining the benefits, Mahny said: "Being cooped up in here we're potentially suffering with anxiety and depresison.

"Connecting with your dog on a natural level through your yoga practise releases oxytocin in the brain and serotonin.

"Because you're with your dog almost 24/7, and I think Robbie does want to divorce me at some points, we don't want to overload them and drag them over to the yoga mat.

"It's good to leave them to come over to you. It's a bit crazy but it works."

This Morning viewers took to Twitter after watching the interesting form of yoga.

One viewer said: "Woman doing #yoga with her #dog which puts its tongue in her mouth! C'mon man...."

"My dog Nala is watching this with disbelief, hoping I don’t start “doga” with her," added another.

A third asked: "Is she actually for real panting at her dog? Am I going mad in quarantine?"

"Letting the dog lick her face. I hope the dog licked his arse before she came on air," said a fourth.

*This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10am
