Phil Tufnell has signed up for I’m A Celebrity All Stars 19 years after he was crowned King of the Jungle, according to reports.

The former cricketer, 56, was spotted at the airport alongside other stars tipped to be part of the cast for the spin-off version of the show, according to The Sun.

A picture obtained by the publication shows Tufnell with Andy Whyment, Shaun Ryder, Joe Swash and Georgia Toffolo as they reportedly jetted off to South Africa for filming.

Question of Sport star Tufnell won I’m A Celebrity back in 2003 after beating footballer Josh Fashanu and designer Linda Barker.

The Standard has contacted a representative from ITV for comment.

Hosts Ant and Dec confirmed last week that an all-star series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! filmed in South Africa is set to hit TV screens in 2023.

In a video on Twitter shot in South Africa against the backdrop of a vast lake and mountains, Donnelly says: “Hello everybody, we’ve got news for you.

“It’s probably the worst kept secret in television but we can confirm we are doing a very special series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in South Africa,” he continued.

Adding: “We’re here, it’s going to be your favourite celebrities from the last 20 years who are going back in to do it one more time in South Africa.”

Over the past two decades, I’m A Celebrity has featured an array of big names, including Caitlyn Jenner, Ian Wright, Peter Andre and Kerry Katona.

After screaming “South Africa!” in excitement, the pair also confirmed the 2022 series will again be based in Australia.

The celebrity reality show has been filmed at Gwrych Castle in North Wales for the past two years due to Covid-19 travel restrictions.
