PFF grades Georgia’s Jake Fromm as SEC’s best passer in week one

Jake Fromm played steady throughout his week one match-up against Vanderbilt. Fromm is playing with a re-constructed wide receiver room, but that didn’t stop him from being the SEC’s highest graded passer in week one per PFF:

Fromm didn’t put up enormous numbers in his season debut. He only threw one touchdown and passed for 156 yards. He never connected on a splash touchdown play to inflate his yardage number. Fromm did what he’ll have to do all season: take care of the football. In Fromm’s turnover-free game he never gave Vanderbilt a chance to gain momentum off an interception or fumble.

If Fromm doesn’t turn the football over, then Georgia will be almost impossible to beat. Fans will look for growth in Georgia’s passing game in the next couple of weeks before the Notre Dame game. Fromm and his wide receivers need the game action to continue to mesh. Fromm can expect to see stacked boxes all season. Fromm and Georgia receivers will look exploit the host of one on one match-ups they receive.
