Petr Cech believes Arsenal could have won by a bigger margin after their Europa League quarter-final first-leg victory over Napoli at the Emirates Stadium.
Unai Emery's men responded to the disappointing 1-0 league loss away to Everton on Sunday by outplaying Carlo Ancelotti's side, securing a 2-0 win thanks to Aaron Ramsey's opener and Kalidou Koulibaly's own goal.
Even Emery admitted the tie was still "50-50", citing how tough Napoli are to beat at home and how below-par the Gunners have been on the road this season.
But while Cech believes a 2-0 first-leg victory was still a good scoreline for Arsenal, the goalkeeper admits they could have been left in an even better position.
"Obviously we had chances in the second half and probably could have scored more goals, but we take the 2-0,” he said.
"But we are still aware it's going to be difficult, they are a very difficult team to play away from home. They've been playing really well so far this season.
"Thanks to our performance, we put them under pressure and we deserved to win today.
"When you play a team with such quality you take 2-0 especially in the first leg when you play at home and you don't want to give the away goal.
"I have to say that, today, we deserved to win, we kept a clean sheet and we controlled the game and that was exactly what we wanted to do."
