Petition launched to get Love Island 'trophy hunter' Ollie Williams off the show

Over 13,000 angry Love Island viewers have signed a petition to get Ollie Williams kicked off the show after pictures of him posing with dead animals appeared online.

The 23-year-old went into the new South African villa alongside the rest of the Love Island lineup on Sunday night, but many people are furious he was even allowed to enter after a now deleted Instagram image showed him proudly posing next to a dead bull.

So far, about Ollie's inclusion on the show and, taking things a step further, someone has launched a petition against him on Change.org.

The petition has been started by Caitlin Wyn Phillips, who claims to know Ollie and says she "can attest to his absolute lack of care for animal life."

She continues " has travelled to several foreign destinations to take part in hunts — even shooting endangered animals.

"The 23-year-old has proudly had his photo taken standing over dead warthog and water buffalo among other animals to promote his hunting business, Cornish Sporting Agency.

"The shocking photos were posted on an Instagram account that was deleted before it was announced Ollie would be in the new winter series of Love Island in South Africa."

In an open letter to ITV and executive producer of Love Island, Richard Cowles, Caitlin pleads "Trophy hunting, the stalking and killing of wild animals with guns or bows and arrows with the purpose of obtaining part of the animal as a trophy to represent the success of the hunt, is a sport which no longer has a place in our society.

"Ollie Williams should not be allowed to compete on the South African Love Island series considering the time he has spent there murdering animals for fun."
