Petit Paris has been wooing diners in Nottingham with traditional French gastronomy for nearly 25 years - now the owners are set to open a new bar and restaurant with the wow factor.
Paris will be contemporary and elegant, drawing inspiration from the capital's tree-lined boulevards.
Director Antony Crossman said: "It's very exciting. It's going to be stunning - the place to go on a romantic date. There will be a night sky twinkling and a courtyard restaurant as if eating outdoors.
"Petit Paris is traditional and everything from the menu to the decor is going to be contemporary in a classy way."
Helping to set the scene will be a specially commissioned two-metre high Eiffel Tower water feature.
Paris will open in a grade II listed property in Nottingham's historic Lace Market, which was previously the Lacemakers' Arms, the Curious Townhouse and before that, The Loom.
Refurbishment has begun and is on schedule to open late August or early September.
The 50-seater restaurant, in High Pavement, will be located towards the back of the sprawling building with its own private bar for diners. The front, which was an 18th century townhouse, will operate as a bar for those not eating.
Mr Crossman became one of the new owners of Petit Paris just over 18 months ago, with his daughter Paige, business partner Dave Fuher, and nephew James Crossman, who started working at the restaurant in Kings Walk as a junior chef.
Now as executive chef James, who trained at Gordon Ramsay's Claridges restaurant in London, will oversee the menu at both restaurants.
