Peter Wright aims for second World Cup of Darts title as he partners John Henderson as Scotland start bid for glory

Livingston-born former world champion Peter Wright is aiming to lead Scotland to World Cup of Darts glory.

The competition gets underway today in Germany with the sixth-seeded Scots facing China in the first round. If they safely negotiate that tie, they'll be up against the winners of the match between Poland and Czech Republic in round two on Saturday. The quarter-finals, semi-finals and final all take place on Sunday.

Wright lifted the trophy two years ago when he teamed up with Gary Anderson to defeat Ireland in the final.

The 51-year-old 'Snakebite' sat out last year's competition and is set to be paired up with John Henderson this time around. The English pairing of James Wade and Dave Chisnall are top seeds, with last year's champions Wales seeded second.
