Peter Kay makes hilariously brutal dig at Matt Hancock as he reacts to tour ticket sales

Peter Kay has reacted to his tour ticket sales - and couldn't resist adding in a brutal Matt Hancock dig for good measure.

The beloved Bolton comedian, 49, delighted fans last Sunday after he made a surprise appearance in the I'm A Celeb launch ad break to promote his first stand-up tour in 12 years.

After five years out of the spotlight, he admitted that he doubted fans would remember him and was stunned to see his comeback had made national news.

Due to such huge demand for the tickets, which fans have struggled to get hold of after they were released this morning, Peter announced extra 2023 tour dates.

Reacting to the excitement surrounding his upcoming tour, the comic tweeted: "THANK YOU!! Absolutely blown away by the ticket sales so far, especially as some of the shows aren't for a good while yet but don't worry we'll have a laugh when we're all together.

"Much love, Peter. P.S Matt Hancock IS a proper b**-end."

However, fans responded by sharing their upset over their struggle to get tickets, with one writing: "You should have given priority to the fans who had their tickets cancelled first time round."

But another pointed out: "From 7 years ago would hace been tricky to do. The tour is going on for 3 years until 2025 so looks likely everyone who wants tickets should get them." [sic]

While another pleaded: "Can we please get another date for Glasgow? My dad is gutted we didn’t get tickets."

"Stop VIAGO etc getting all the tickets, they had them on sale in excess of £1000.00 this morning," a fan fumed.

It comes after fans discovered earlier today that tickets with a face value price of £150 each in Leeds are now on sale at ticket reselling site Viagogo for £1,770 - a 1,080 percent mark-up.

Cardiff tickets that sold for £50 are now reselling at a mind-boggling £1,180.

Furious fans took to Twitter to slam the outrageous prices with one writing: "Anyone who has bought Peter Kay tickets and immediately resold them for ten times the price, I genuinely hope every step you stand on Lego."

Another tweeted: "Why is it so difficult to get tickets for anything these days?"
