Peter Andre 'worries every day' for his mum as 'cruel' condition causes health to fail

Peter Andre revealed he 'worries every day' after his mother was diagnosed with Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.

The Mysterious Girl singer, 49, admitted it was hard to watch his 87-year-old mum, Thea, 'suffering'

He jetted off to Australia to visit his mum and dad Savvas recently, with his Emily and Pete's kids by Katie Price, Junior, 17 and Princess, 15, tagging along.

Being with them 'meant the world' to him and he said it was 'cruel' to watch the conditions take hold.

After sharing snaps from his vacation on Instagram, Pete answered a few supportive comments posted by fans.

He said: “We worry every single day as it takes hold. I will cherish every moment I have.”

In another reply, Pete explained: “It’s so cruel seeing it take hold.”

Peter told another follower: "Some days she is good, like today, but others are not so good."

He shared a beautiful montage of snaps of the matriarch, captioning it: "These last two weeks have meant the world to us.

"Mum, you have no idea how much we love you and Dad. Debs, Savs and Joe thanks for everything."

In one photo, Pete grins as proud mum Thea cups her son's fac e, smiling from ear to ear.

In another, the singer's wife Emily hugs her mother-in-law, wearing a mask to protect her.

Thea recently celebrated her 87th birthday and Peter admitted it ' was nice we were with her so close to it.'

"It’s never easy to see people declining when they get older, especially when it’s your own mum," he wrote for OK!

"It’s tough and very emotional. Although it was difficult to leave them at the end of our trip, seeing Mum smile and happy was the best – that’s what it’s all about.”

The star has been open about his personal struggles and previously explained how hard he found watching her deterioration.

He explained in his new! magazine column: "My parents celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary last week. 67 years!

"Mum's struggling at the moment, though. She's not doing great. She's suffering a bit and declining. It's sad when they've been together so long that age is getting on top of them.

"I was with her a few months ago. We've just got to be with her as much as possible. It's just age. She's got all sorts of things going on now."
