Peter Andre still 'really driven' as he teases surprising new career move at 50

Peter Andre says he's still "really career driven" as he turns 50, and teased a new album and film.

The Mysterious Girl singer enjoyed a trip to Dubai with his family for the milestone, as well as an Indian meal the night before.

Speaking to the Mirror at the Together for Short Lives Ball, which he attended with wife Emily, 33, the I'm A Celebrity star said he felt "grateful" for his health and family.

Asked what Pete has planned for the next 10 or twenty years, the star said: "If I could live for the next twenty to thirty years I will be a very happy man.

"I know it sounds silly but I kind of look now I'm 50 I'm thinking I'm so grateful that I am healthy and I have got my family and that I still feel young, because you just don't know what's going to happen. "

Pete added that he "loves life" and his wife Emily, a doctor, "keeps me young".

Speaking about what he's got planned next, Pete, a dad-of-four, said: "I am really career driven, I've got my first film coming out this year, my first ever film, and perhaps another album, just because it has been years."

It's a busy time for the Andres, as Pete's daughter Princess, 15, has reportedly been offered an ambassadorship with online fashion brand Pretty Little Thing.

Pete, who is also dad to Junior, 17, and Amelia and Theo, nine and six, has spoken of the rules he's set out for his eldest kids' careers in showbiz.

He told Ok! "Junior was 16 before he was allowed to do any scheduled stuff and Princess is still doing GCSE’s, so she’s only does little tiny things here and there.

"No scheduled work – nothing like that."

Princess, who Pete shares with ex-wife Katie Price, is believed to be offered a four-figure contract to co-create with the brand on Instagram and TikTok.

Meanwhile Junior, who Pete also shares with Katie, has a record deal.

Sharing his thoughts on his children following into the 'fame game' he admits they are already in it, saying they have 'grown up' in the industry — both kids featured on reality TV shows.

But he feels that he has raised them to be "respectful and kind" and he has good support at hand — his manger of 30 years Claire — who can help them stay in control and "do something their way."

Pete and Emily to take a different path with Amelia and Theo and have even kept their faces out of the media, one of the reasons being to protect them from cruel online trolls.

Emily, who also has a column for Ok! Magazine, penned a piece after Tamara Ecclestone's one-year-old was trolled, which justified her decision.

She said: "This is exactly why I have been cautious about sharing my children's faces online," Emily explained.
