Peter Andre has unveiled the gift he decided to get his wife Emily to celebrate their 10 years anniversary.
The singer, 49, marked their relationship milestone, which coincided with their seventh wedding anniversary, with a lavish sparkly present for his NHS doctor wife, 32.
The Mysterious Girl singer bought Emily a huge diamond ring and took her on a child-free date night to celebrate.
Peter said they had exchanged some "lovely" traditional wool and copper gifts for their wedding anniversary, but wanted to get something extra special to mark their decade together.
“I know the traditional gifts for seven years are wool and copper, but I saw a beautiful ring a couple of months ago that I really liked, and as we’re also celebrating 10 years together, I just bought it,” he explained in his latest column for OK!
“I know it’s not about presents, it’s about us being together and marking a milestone, but why not?”
Peter detailed their celebrations and revealed he had some very familiar babysitters to look after his two youngest children.
“Emily and I had an amazing time celebrating our seventh wedding anniversary. We went out for a quick dinner, just the two of us, and we were laughing the whole time,” Peter told the publication.
“It’s great to have some one-on-one time. It was only for an hour but we still felt like we wanted to get home to the kids!”
The couple enlisted the help of Princess and Junior, who he shares with his first wife Katie Price, to look after his youngest children Theodore and Amelia, who he shares with Emily.
“Princess has been doing a bit of babysitting for us, but only when Junior is home.
“She loves it, but then Junior says, “Well if I’m home too, why aren’t I getting paid for babysitting?”
“It’s a good point, I guess.”
Peter went on to tease that his gifts to his wife were only going to get more lavish.
He signed off: “After all, diamonds are a girl’s best friend, right? When we get to 10 years of marriage I want to do something really special, so watch this space.”
Last week, Peter paid tribute to Emily on their wedding anniversary, telling her: "You have a heart of pure gold."
The singer shared the loving message to Emily, 32, on his Instagram page, alongside a video of pictures of the gorgeous pair's wedding day, and other special memories.
In the caption, the Mysterious Girl singer wrote: "Happy 7th wedding anniversary to a beautiful person inside and out. We have been together for 10 incredible years.
"You deserve to be praised Emily because you have a heart of pure gold. Thanks for everything. Our kids are truly lucky to have you. So am I," he finished the tribute with a heart emoji.#
