A Motherwell man has been jailed for 18 months after images showing children being abused and bestiality were found on his laptop computers.
Keith Beveridge, 36, of Airth Court, was also put on the Sex Offenders’ Register for ten years at Hamilton Sheriff Court.
The images were found by police on devices at a house in Logans Road, Motherwell, in June last year.
Beveridge admitted the two laptops seized were his, but denied any wrongdoing and claimed someone else must have downloaded the material.
However, the court heard evidence that the laptops were password-protected and no one else used them.
The jury found him guilty of downloading and possessing illicit images.
