Peru has ended the World Cup dreams of New Zealand, claiming the final berth for Russia next year with a 2-0 victory in Lima.
The 10th-ranked Peru qualified courtesy of goals to Jefferson Farfan and Christian Ramos, the win coming less than 24 hours after the Socceroos secured their place in the World Cup finals next June.
Peru and the All Whites had drawn 0-0 in the opening leg in New Zealand.
It is the first time Peru has made it through to the World Cup finals since 1982, while the All Whites missed the chance to make their third appearance at football's showpiece event.
More to come.
