Person struck by train between Glasgow Central Station and Paisley Gilmour Street

ScotRail report a person was struck by a train on the line between Glasgow Central Station and Paisley Gilmour Street Station on Sunday night.

Trains running between both trains were suspended following the incident.

Scotrail advised shortly before 9.30pm last night: "Sadly, due to a person being struck by a train between Glasgow Central & Paisley Gilmour Street, we’re currently unable to run any services between these stations."

The line fully reopened shortly before 11pm.

The Daily Record understands the person was struck near to Cardonald Station.

British Transport Police have been contacted by Glasgow Live for comment.
