A PERSON has died after being struck by a train near Dunbar Railway Station on Tuesday night.
LNER issued a statement on social media about the incident at about 10.35pm.
This morning, a spokesperson for British Transport Police confirmed that the person had died.
He said: "British Transport Police were called to the line near Dunbar Railway Station at 9.54pm yesterday (October 25) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
"This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the procurator fiscal."
