A person was killed Saturday in a fire at their home in west suburban Naperville.

About 8:50 a.m., the Naperville Fire Department were called about a fire alarm in a first-floor apartment in the first block of Olympus Drive, Naperville fire officials said. Crews arrived about five minutes later and saw smoke pouring from the home.

One person was found dead, and no one else was in the apartment, officials said. The bedroom blaze was put out within five minutes.

Investigators believe the fire was accidental, and no residents were displaced, officials said.
