Perrie Edwards misses Little Mix shows in Brazil over mystery illness

Perrie Edwards has been forced to miss Little Mix's shows in Brazil, after coming down with a mystery illness.

The girl group headed to South America over the weekend, but Perrie wasn't with them and explained why via social media.

Perrie, 26, shared a statement with her fans, saying she was heartbroken to cancel.

Perrie, whose boyfriend is Liverpool star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain , said: "Hey everyone, I'm so sorry to announce that I am unable to travel and perform in Brazil with the rest of the girls on Sunday due to being unwell.

"To all the fans that are attending the show, I'm heartbroken I can't be there with you, but I know the girls will absolutely smash their performance and give you everything in my absence. Lots of love Perrie x"

The other members of the group Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall all took to the stage at the GRLS festival in Sao Paolo, Brazil.

And they shared photos from the performance, saying it was "the most incredible night."

Jesy shared a snap of the trio with their dancers following the show, captioning the photo "family" but fans filled the comment section with concern for the missing member.

teachingandtravellingandtatty said: "Hope Perrie ok?"

jaysennagee said: "Perrie (sad emojis)"

And milanomelany said: "Perrie?"

The girl group will now return to the UK for the rest of their tour, with Perrie hopefully set to rejoin them then.
