An Avon Fire and Rescue Service spokesman told Bristol Live: "A total of 11 people were evacuated from the building. There were no casualties and the fire was quickly got under control by all crews."

Extensive damage was caused to the property's third floor and roof space. An investigation is ongoing to establish the cause of the fire and the occupants have found alternative accommodation.

Police closed off sections of Coronation Road as firefighters tackled a blaze at a property. Road closures were in place at the junctions with Alpha Road, Dean Lane and St Johns Lane.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: "Thankfully no injuries are reported, but residents of the property are unable to return due to suspected structural damage."

If you have any information which could help the investigation call 101 and give the reference 5222114328."
