People are paying to have llamas and goats join their work video meetings

It seems like people will try just about anything to try and spice up their lives now the majority of us are working from home.

With that in mind, more than one of us will have been involved in a video call with work colleagues but you'd be hard-pressed to call any frequent video conferences 'fun'.

Sure, you can add virtual backgrounds to Zoom, but that can only go so far.

Speaking of 'going far', one farm in America has decided they want to make online meetings more 'fun' by giving people the opportunity to have a llama or goat be part of your conference calls - for a price, of course.

A llama dropping into a video call? Alarming. (Sweet Farm)

Animal sanctuary Sweet Farm, in Silicon Valley, offers three options for your calls.

The Goat-2-Meeting, as their website calls it, asks if you "want a fun experience for an online Happy Hour? Looking for a virtual tour? The Sweet Farm Animal Ambassadors are here for you".

If you decide to try it out, the farm will join your call, do a quick intro of the farm and introduce you to the animals on your virtual tour.

Touring the farm costs £52.16 ($65) which allows up to six people to explore the farm. If you wanted a 10-minute 'Corporate Meeting Cameo", you're looking at £80.23 ($100).

You can also request to see other animals they have on the farm, like sheep, pigs, cows and turkeys.

Co-founder of the farm, Anna Sweet, explained to Business Insider that she hopes the idea can help "connect people to where their food comes from".

“I think we're all a little stressed with what's going on, many of us have been sitting inside,” Sweet said. “We're just hoping to bring some smiles to people's faces while bringing them out to the farm at the same time.”

Maybe don't try and bring this into a super important meeting.
