Trying to grow hair longer or get thicker locks can feel like an impossible feat sometimes. One of the most common moans hairdressers hear from clients is that they believe their locks have stopped growing.
While this isn't correct - hair keeps growing all the time - our locks do go through faster and slower cycles. And damaged hair grows slower than healthy locks.
Now health and wellness mentor Dana Smith Bradley has revealed that if you want your hair to grow faster it's best to only wash it once a week. A number of experts support the claim that washing your hair less can result in longer locks.

Washing frequency will depend on hair density, but leaving more time between cleans allows natural oils to build up to stimulate hair health.
Dana said that people often ask about her hair, so she has shared her list of top tips:
- wash once a week
- colour only every 4 weeks
- trims every 4 months
- oil treatment every two weeks
- use as little heat as possible
- be gentle when brushing and brush from ends to top
- collagen (vital proteins every day)
- lots of protein (150g+ per day)
- Nutrafol Hair Vitamins
