People are only just realising their air fryers have a clever function for cocktail-making

Nights in with pals can be just as much fun as nights out on the town, with the added bonus being that you can save the pennies by mixing up some cocktails in your very own kitchen. One woman who was 'too lazy to go out but still feeling fancy' showed how she was able to give her at-home cocktails a professional touch, all thanks to her trusty air fryer.

Demonstrating her hack in a TikTok video, crafty cocktail maker Cami could be seen taking a fresh batch of dehydrated lemon slices out of her air fryer and using these to garnish a round of refreshing-looking beverages.

Cami, who goes by the TikTok username @cambydesign, explained to her followers that she was able to achieve this chic look by making use of the dehydration feature on her air fryer, popping the slices in to dehydrate for four hours.

She added: "When your air fryer has a dehydration feature. I keep a jar at home because I’m always feeling fancy."

A link on Cami's profile shows she has the Ninja AF101 Air Fryer model, frier which comes with a dehydrating function. After watching the vid, a number of Cami's followers hurried to check their own friers to see if they had the same option.

The hack did cause some confusion (@cambydesign/Tiktok)

One person commented: "Omg this is perfect because a bag of dried limes was $14 (£12.30) on Amazon! I rather DIY it."

Another wrote: "Air fryer with a dehydrator might be the most amazing thing ever."

A third person approved: "This is so smart."

Others however admitted they were just relieved they had made sure to read the post thoroughly, having initially assumed Cami had fried her lemons, not dehydrated them.

Not all air fryers offer a dehydrating option, and you might have to shop around a bit if you want one that does. The joyami Air Fryer 5.7L, which you can buy for £99 from Amazon, does, as does the Tefal EasyFry Precision 2in1 Digital Air Fryer & Grill 4.2L which costs £135, also from Amazon.
