A pensioner has died following following a car crash in Bridgend on Monday morning, police have confirmed.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Litchard Hill at its junction with Bryn Llidiard at 8am.
Officers said the collision involved a white Mercedes E250 estate and an 88-year-old male pedestrian.
The man was treated at the scene by paramedics but he was later pronounced dead at hospital.
South Wales Police said the man's next of kin have been informed and they were being supported by specially-trained officers.
Police are now appealing for any witnesses, or anyone who may have seen the vehicle or pedestrian immediately prior to the collision, to come forward.
Officers also want to to hear from anyone who may have dash-cam footage or images from vehicles in the area at the time.
