Pensioner, 80, begs Boris Johnson to help her marry 35-year-old Egyptian toyboy

A lovestruck pensioner is begging Boris Johnson to help her wed an Egyptian toyboy she refers to as her "pharaoh"

Iris Jones, 80, says of the PM: “He has got a young girlfiend... he should understand.”

She claims UK diplomats in Cairo blocked her marrying Mohamed Ahmed Irbriham, 35.

Iris says Mohamed “is an Adonis... I call him my pharaoh – and he calls me Cleopatra”.

She went viral after the Sunday Mirror revealed her story last week, then she appeared on TV revealing details of her first night with Mohamed – and how they used “a whole tube of KY Jelly”.

Now Iris hopes Boris, who at 55 is is 24 years older than partner Carrie Symonds, will sympathise, reports the Mirro r.

Iris says: “I wrote to Boris because I was desperate. I said, ‘Boris, we’re two people much in love. We just want to be together’.

“I wrote, ‘Dear Mr Johnson, I know you are a man with a heart. I want to marry this gentleman from Egypt. We’re meeting obstacles and setbacks. Time isn’t on my side now. I just want to spend my last days with him’.”

She tells the Mirror: “People don’t like him as PM, but he’s still a man with needs and desires like all of us. I’d write to the Queen too but she’s enough on with Harry, Meghan and Andrew.”

This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield were in stitches as Iris gave fine detail on bedding Mohamed.

“He is putty in my hands"

But the Romeo was miffed. Iris, from Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, explains: “He wrote a message and said, ‘I am angry. Why tell them about our personal life?’ I said, ‘it just suddenly came out. You have to take the rough with the smooth’.

“He is putty in my hands, I can easily calm him down. He said, ‘thank you my angel’.”

Iris has bought her wedding outfit – a £19 charity shop bargain. The jacket was £4, the dress £2.99 and the fascinator £12.

The pair had “met” through a  Facebook page and Iris flew to Cairo in November.

They went to the British Embassy to check whether they could marry in Egypt. But she didn’t have her divorce papers and they also needed a certificate of no impediment to show there was no barrier to getting married.

Iris says she has since sent numerous emails but claims to have been blanked by officials.

She meets a registrar tomorrow about a certificate of no impediment and plans a spring wedding in Cairo. Iris hopes to return with Mohamed, visa permitting.

Her sons, in their 50s, accept the situation. Iris adds: “At first they hated him.

"Suddenly, he’s the best thing since sliced bread.”

She won’t change her will but is happy for Mohamed to inherit her £220,000 bungalow if they wed.

“It wouldn’t bother me – I’ll be dead,” she says.

Downing Street has replied to Iris, saying: “The PM appreciates you taking the time to write. Your correspondence has been forwarded to the relevant department.”
