Penman Engineering enters administration for the second time in three years

Workers were sent home from Penman Engineering in Dumfries today after the company went into administration.

Joint administrator Blair Nimmo said 44 employees were made redundant with the remaining 17 being kept on to assist with the administration process.

He said despite the company being rescued in 2017 and the owners working tirelessly to make it a success, cash pressures have made the business unsustainable.
