Pembrokeshire home with amazing sea view and the beach at the bottom of your garden

Arguably at some time in their lives most people in Wales have lived, however briefly, in a traditional terrace or a three-bed semi-detached house - they are the backbone of our housing stock in most regions.

But surely not everyone can claim to have lived in a three-bed semi that has one of the most special sea views on offer?

Plus a location that means when you feel like being engulfed in fresh sea breezes all you have to do is potter to the end of your garden.

And how about if the semi is next to one of the most celebrated coasts in Wales, that's a slice of a national park?

At this semi-detached abode, if a bracing walk along a winter beach or sinking your toes into soft, warm summer sand is a daily desire, the quiet beach is just a few minutes walk away.

No wonder then that this property on the coast is called Sea View and is approached off the winding road that descends down to the beach at the tiny hamlet of Wisemans Bridge, just up the Pembrokeshire coast from the popular village of Saundersfoot.

Website Visit Pembrokeshire describes the beach hamlet as having a wide but rocky and sandy foreshore backed by a pebble bank.

The site states it is possible to walk all the way to Amroth or Saundersfoot along the beach during a very low tide, in fact you can stroll for miles, but obviously you need to be aware of tide times so you don't get stranded.

The coast path follows the old tramway to Saundersfoot along an elevated seawall and through some superb tunnels that continue this location's uniqueness.

The beach is somewhat of a mecca for nature lovers too, who are looking for virtually unspoilt scenery with oodles of wildlife and birds to spot.

It might be peaceful now, especially after the visitors of the summer months have gone, but during World War II the area played an important part in the war effort.

The beaches of Wisemans Bridge and Saundersfoot were considered to be similar to the beaches of those in northern France.

So in 1943, Operation Jantzen was put into practice along the Pembrokeshire coast at a number of beaches and it is said that Churchill himself attended to watch proceedings.

Some say he even sat on the wall of the beachside pub at Wisemans Bridge with a cup of tea to oversee the practise operations, but it appears there is no concrete evidence to support either claims other than anecdotal stories.

Back to the present day at the beach, and there is limited parking, a toilet and a beachside pub, but if you lived at the house on the cliff-top none of these facilities are obviously required, your home is just a pebble throw away.

At this dream home semi by the sea you can do your own pub grub BBQ on the garden terrace with the sparkling blue sea as your backdrop at the end of your garden.

And there's plenty of parking at the front of the house and of course this lovely home has facilities - two bathrooms, and three baths, in fact.

Of course, as you park outside this pair of elevated coastal cottages, you are pulled by the desire to rush to the rear garden to see if you can see the sea.

And you certainly can see the sea, the water glistens between the tops of the trees at the end of the garden, mesmerising you and drawing you closer to see the coastline start to expand in front of you and the beach make an appearance.

It's a garden bigger than many semi-detached houses can offer too.

It has a number of levels, with the sunny terrace hugging the house and a lawn meandering down some charming log steps to the end of the garden and the best of the sea view.

The house and garden might be perched above a beach that can sometimes get busy, but it is nestled within an array of trees, bushes and shrubs resulting in the garden feeling like a private island of peace, shared only by the attached neighbour.

The bright blue house uplifts the soul with its refreshing colour and inside the house, the feeling of happiness will surely continue for most visitors.

There's a mix of character with contemporary interior design, meaning very little work needs to be done here, so less stress and more opportunity to enjoy that garden.

The kitchen is found at the front of the house and is mainly open-plan to the hall - this house has lost quite a few internal walls and it's all the better for it.

The kitchen flows into the dining room that features exposed beams and feature exposed stone walls, a very sociable zone to either chat to the cook or retire next door to the lounge.

And keeping the first floor up between the kitchen and dining room is a charming and robust exposed beam.

Who wants cold, hard steel when you can use nature's finest, both practical and forever beautiful?

The dining room then flows into a rear lounge through a set of double doors, meaning all three spaces can be joined or the lounge can be closed off to create a separate and potentially quieter zone.

It would be such a shame to live at this special spot and not be able to enjoy the location all year round, so the addition of a garden room at the rear of the home is a big bonus.

See the seasons change and be immersed in it without getting wet or having your hat blown off by the regular windy, stormy days.

Upstairs, this three-bed semi departs from the norm again, with a master suite that will probably surprise most people.

It's a very good size, but that's not the surprise - it has a gorgeous, free-standing copper bath in the corner.

It feels like the lap of luxury, a slice of boutique hotel style, hiding in a semi.

There's lots of lovely character to spot in this bedroom too once the lure of the shiny bath eventually subsides.

There's exposed, sanded ceiling beams, slate window sills that are just crying out to welcome you to sit and stay, and absorb the best coastal views from this first floor position.

There's an ensuite shower room too that continues the tasteful interior design that mixes modern with a splash of classic.

Bedroom two is at the front of the home, as is another bathroom, and this one can boast a statement bath in the corner too.

If you love to soak in a hot bubble bath, this house will instantly feel like home, with two special tubs to choose from.

The splashes of quirky continue up on this level, with a red spiral staircase taking you up to a room on the loft, currently used as an office with ridiculously gorgeous sea views.

Inside, the exposed, sandblasted roof timbers can compete though to force your gaze inwards occasionally.

The loft room is potentially the third bedroom but obviously changes may have to be made to conform to current building regulations if it were to be used as such.

Then, what a wonderful space it would be to star-gaze in a night sky unpolluted by light, directly from your pillow.

The semi with the special location that also includes a wooden garage, is on the market for offers in the region of £695,000, contact Chandler Rogers Tenby on 01834 849090 to find out more.
