Pedestrians hit after car mounts pavement yards from the Ritz

Two people have been injured after a BMW hit pedestrians outside Green Park station.

The incident occurred just before 9.30pm on Wednesday.

A witness said that the pedestrians were hit by a white BMW which mounted the pavement before allegedly leaving the scene.

They said the driver drove off "aggressively" as an ambulance made its way to the scene.

London Ambulance Service attended the scene.

A spokeswoman said: “We sent two ambulance crews, a single responder in a car and an advanced paramedic to the scene. With the first of our medics arriving in under five minutes.

“We treated two men at the scene. We took one to hospital and one to a major trauma centre as a priority.”

Scotland Yard told the Standard they had no details of an incident being reported.
