Pedestrian rushed to hospital after being ploughed down by car on Scots road

A pedestrian was rushed to hospital after being ploughed down by a car on a Scots road.

Emergency services scrambled to Kirkland Avenue in Ballingry, Fife, following the horror crash yesterday morning.

Ambulance crews attended and took the injured man to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for treatment.

Police say they are following a positive line of enquiry (Fife Jammer Locations)

The incident happened at around 9.15am yesterday morning.

Police have launched a major probe into the crash and this morning officers told the Record they were "following a positive line of enquiry".

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.15am on Thursday, 8 April, 2021, police were called after a man was injured in road crash in Kirkland Avenue, Ballingry.

"He was taken to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for treatment.

"Officers are following a positive line of enquiry."
