A MAJOR Scottish road which serves as a key link to the Highlands has been closed in both directions due to a crash between a car and a pedestrian.
Traffic Scotland has confirmed that the A82 at Inverlochy Castle is closed and Police Scotland have reported a pedestrian has been taken to hospital.
The collision happened near Lochaber at around 12.15pm.
They say traffic is heavy and emergency services are currently at the scene, with a warning to drivers to avoid the area.

A stament inssued by Police Scotland reads: "The A82 at Inverlochy Castle, Torlundy, is closed in both directions following a crash involving a car and a pedestrian, which was reported around 12.15pm on Tuesday, 27 May, 2025.
"The pedestrian has been taken to hospital for treatment.
"Diversions are in place via the B8004 and the public is asked to avoid the area at this time if possible."
