Paulo Dybala's eye-watering wage demands revealed as Tottenham bid to complete transfer

Paulo Dybala will reportedly demand £300,000-a-week in order to move to Tottenham - wages which would make him the club's highest-paid player.

Spurs have agreed a £69million fee with Juventus for the Argentine as Mauricio Pochettino looks to land another marquee signing before the window slams shut tomorrow.

But wages could prove a stumbling block, with the 25-year-old demanding £50,000 more a week than current top earner Harry Kane, according to the Mail.

Juve want to move Dybala out as they look to fund a move for wantaway Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku.

United were also mulling over a move for Dybala, potentially as a makeweight in the Lukaku deal, but have now decided not to pursue him.

Lukaku wants to force a move away from Old Trafford after falling down the pecking order following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's return to the club as manager last season.

The Belgian struggled to hold down a starting spot under Solskjaer and has been away from Carrington this week - training instead with Anderlecht.

He is keen on a move to Serie A with both Juve and Inter Milan in the race to land his signature.

Inter boss Antonio Conte has repeatedly spoken of his desire to sign Lukaku having previously tried to lure him to Chelsea during his time in the Stamford Bridge hotseat.
