Paul Sinha went on The Chase straight after sharing Parkinson's diagnosis

Paul Sinha went on to record The Chase minutes after sharing he was diagnosed with Parkinson.

The ITV star has revealed that he just shut his laptop after posting the tweet and went back to work.

Speaking out again on Twitter on Friday night, Paul explained that the episode aired today and he was "proud" by how well he done.

He said: "In June last year I blogged that I had Parkinson's.

"Then I shut my computer, left my agent to deal with things, and went into a studio to record The Chase.

"Today was that episode and all things told I was proud to get that close to that team on that day."

Last month, the 50-year-old chatted about how he's coped since his diagnosis to the Loose Women panel.

The former GP said he and his medical friends hadn't even considered the fact he might be suffering from the condition, after thinking it was just a problem with his right shoulder.

He had steroid injections in it, which made it better for a time but it started to get worse again.

Chase star Paul said: "It wasn't until I had a full operation on my shoulder that I realised something was really wrong.

"I went to the New Zealand comedy festival and I was limping everywhere and people were commenting on it.

"So by the time I got the diagnosis there was a sense of relief it wasn't anything worse."

Despite his diagnosis Paul is determined to stay positive, saying he doesn't have the option to be "mawkishly miserable."
