Paul Merson makes Carlo Ancelotti claim
Paul Merson doesn't hold back when discussing his views on Everton.
The former Arsenal midfielder infamously accused the Toffees of 'ruining the transfer market' after spending £40m on Richarlison, only to eat his words when the Brazilian became a huge success at Goodison Park.
And he's been giving his take on Carlo Ancelotti, saying he's "not surprised" the Italian left Everton on Monday.
"Carlo Ancelotti quitting Everton did not surprise me one bit. He looked like he’d lost interest,” Merson wrote in his Daily Star column.
“And he’s not stupid. He would have seen the last few weeks that they are miles away."
Yannick Bolasie sends exit message
Yannick Bolasie may have struggled to live up to his fee at Everton, but he left the club with a classy message.
Bolasie's release was confirmed this week and the winger will bring to an end five years with the club.
About his departure, he said: "It was an honour to play for this football club and have the opportunity to be supported by the incredible fans.
"Just know I repped the shirt till the end! Love Yala."
