Paul Clarke to stay on with Dublin as selector under new boss Dessie Farrell

DUBLIN boss Dessie Farrell is set to retain another member of Jim Gavin’s management team with Paul Clarke expected to stay on as a selector.

Farrell confirmed that former club and county teammate Mick Galvin would be working with him after he appeared on the sideline with him when a scratch side suffered a one-point loss to Longford in the O’Byrne Cup last Saturday.

And Clarke, another member of the 1995 All-Ireland winning team, will help maintain continuity with the outgoing set up having been drafted in by Gavin as a selector in February 2018.

Logistics man Shane O’Hanlon, who was also part of the Gavin regime, is set to be involved again having been part of the entourage in Longford last weekend too along with Bryan Cullen, Dublin’s full-time high performance manager who has worked with the senior side since 2016.

Having just returned from the team holiday to Bali, Dublin’s frontline players resumed training on Tuesday night ahead of the Allianz League opener against Kerry at Croke Park on January 25.
