CHENNAI: The PMK has proved to be a responsible opposition and it crusaded for the rights and problems of the people whenever opportunity arose.
Given an opportunity to rule the state, the benefits for the people would be multifold, PMK president Anbumani Ramdoss said on Friday. In a statement, he said that it was not an achievement if political parties, which had experienced power, exerted power to achievecertain things, but a party which had never come to power, being a deciding authority was a true achievement. He said the PMK, which would turn 34 on Saturday, was one such party. PMK has enabled the ruling party to implement new schemes for the people through its constructive opinions and criticism. “It never takes up issues to create a controversy,” he said.
The reception for the PMK in many of the districts which he had toured after assuming office as the president was warm and welcoming, said Anbumai. Further, he said that he would tour the length and breadth of the state to meet people.
