Patriots Twitter reacts to Titans firing Mike Vrabel

The most shocking NFL news didn’t even come on Black Monday.

On Tuesday, the Tennessee Titans announced they had fired Mike Vrabel as head coach. That news obviously created a ton of buzz for New England Patriots fans with the possibility of Bill Belichick being the next coach to lose his job.

Belichick and owner Robert Kraft are still in discussions on how to move forward after the team finished with a 4-13 record and missed the playoffs for a second consecutive season.

Vrabel, who was inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame back in October, makes sense as a succession plan for Belichick. He has the experience and familiarity with the Patriots’ organization to fit like a glove.

However, some are skeptical of the change he could realistically implement considering he’s also a defensive-minded coach, like Belichick. Here’s what fans were saying on Twitter in response to the Vrabel firing:
