Patriots Twitter reacts to Bill Belichick’s heartfelt thank you letter

Break-ups are never easy, and they’re even worse when they come after six Super Bowl wins and 24 years of being tied at the hip. Such has been the case for former head coach Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots.

The two sides parted ways after finishing the 2023 season with a 4-13 record and failing to make the postseason for a second straight year. Within a blink of an eye, the mighty Patriots, who were once perennial contenders, were somehow reduced to being one of the worst teams in the NFL.

Yet, the present doesn’t change the past success for a franchise that became the greatest dynasty in NFL history. On Sunday, coach Bill Belichick penned a thank you letter in the Boston Globe to Patriots fans.

Some Patriots fans have been screaming for change for years. The truth is the team hasn’t been the same since Tom Brady took his talents down south to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

But that doesn’t mean fans aren’t appreciative of Belichick for so many great memories during a near 20-year run of success. Here’s what fans were saying on social media in response to Belichick’s thank you letter:
