Patrick Reed had his caddie enthusiastically scare off a bunch of geese

There are plenty of responsibilities that come with being a caddie. Obviously, caddies carry a heavy bag for a few hours, but they also play crucial role in the golfer’s performance.

For Patrick Reed’s caddie, Kessler Karain, his job includes chasing geese. No, really, it does.

During Sunday’s final round of the Northern Trust, Reed — the tournament leader at the time — approached the fairway on the par-5 13th hole for his third shot when there were a bunch of geese converging in the area.

Rather than deal with moving geese in his peripheral vision, Reed asked Karain to take care of the geese. And that he did.

An overly enthusiastic Karain ran towards the geese with his arms extended and did his best to get the geese out of the way. While some of the geese were unbothered, Karain did manage to clear the area to a degree.

Reed went on to par the hole thanks to that valiant effort from the caddie.
