Patna: Lightning claims five more lives

Patna

PATNA: Lightning strikes claimed five more lives in three districts in the state in last 24 hours. With this, the state’s lightning toll since June has increased to 54.

Among the five fresh victims, two were from Madhepura and one each from Siwan, Banka and Gopalganj. CM Nitish Kumar has announced an ex gratia of Rs 4 lakh each for the next of the kin of the victims.
