Pathaan: Shah Rukh Khan starrer crosses Rs 650 crore mark at worldwide box office on Day 8

There's been just no stopping Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan' at the worldwide box office. The film released in Hindi, worldwide, grossed an estimated Rs 656 crore in eight days at the overseas box office.

The film which earned an estimated Rs 399 crore gross in the Indian market, earned an estimated Rs 257 crore gross ($31.60 million) at the overseas box office.

That's not all, the collections from all other formats take the film's overall total to an estimated Rs 670 crore. With these numbers, the film has now become the highest-grosser of all time.

It must be noted that 'Pathaan' broke several box office records in just its first week at the box office. With trade experts predicting another strong weekend, the film is expected to surpass the lifetime worldwide gross of Aamir Khan's 'Dangal' by Saturday. The film earned a total of Rs 702 crore.

After beating 'Dangal' it will still have the mammoth Rs 801 crore record set by 'Bahubali: The Conclusion'. Only after it beats the 'Baahubali' record, will it become the highest-grossing HINDI film of all time. If it keeps up with the double-digit figures at the box office, it will likely raise the box office bar by the end of its second week.

Much like certain sectors within the country, 'Pathaan' saw a drop in numbers in some overseas markets like US/Canada and even the Gulf countries. However, the numbers from United Kingdom remained rock steady. If it reaches the GBP 4 million mark, then it will be one of its biggest records as no other Indian film has been able to achieve this record for a release in a single language.
