Makeup’s Fairy Godmother is casting her magic spell once again.
After all, what Pat McGrath doesn't know about beauty isn't worth knowing: the 49-year-old is the unequivocal maven of makeup, having painted the faces of some of the world's most famous faces.
And now, just in time for Christmas, she is launching a totally out-of-this-world limited-edition collection to celebrate the the forthcoming – and final – episode of the Skywalker saga.
The 7-piece collection, which comprises exclusive products for both eyes and lips and includes three of her trademark eyeshadow palettes (Galactic Gold Palette, Dark Galaxy Palette and Mothership IV Decadence), will be released in limited quantities. Once they're gone, they're gone.
McGrath took inspiration from Star Wars characters, costumes and landscapes for the collection, with the palettes all containing her signature pigmented, molten shades.
Speaking about the collection, McGrath said: "The Star Wars characters have become integrated into our culture in such a MAJOR way that it’s hard to imagine a world without them! Anyone who follows me on Social Media knows I am obsessed with Star Wars. From the rebellious beauty of Princess Leia to the gilded glamour of C-3PO.”
McGrath is known as the Mother of Make-Up. 500 magazine covers, 3,300 runway shows, and 129,000 make-upped models is, afterall, no small feat.
She launched her own eponymous brand, PAT McGRATH LABS, in 2015 to rapturous applause from beauty aficionados across the board.
The Pat McGrath Labs Limited Edition Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Collection will be available whilst stocks last from Selfridges and on www.patmcgrath.com from 12 December.
