Passengers were left shocked as a pair of young women were pictured applying false eyelashes on a plane.
A photograph shows a woman sat on the floor of an aircraft while her friend, holding a pair of tweezers, applies her lashes for her.
The image appeared on Instagram group 'passenger shaming' and the post is captioned: "Me getting cute for the weekend like..."
It has the hashtags #eyelashextensions #fridaynight and #spaday.
Many passengers were unimpressed, calling it a "dangerous" act and worried about the effect turbulence would have on the girls' actions.
One Instagram user wrote: "This is so f***ing dangerous a little bit of turbulence and your tools are in your eyes."

Another wrote: "How'd you lose your eyes ma'am? Turbulence, took tweezers straight into my eyeball."
A woman who said she does lashes for a living said she was simply "speechless".
Another added: "Doing this on a plane?!"
Surprisingly, not everyone was critical and some even appeared to joke it was a good idea.
One commented: "I just feel this is a quality use of flight time! Eyelash extensions take forever."
Others writing on the post appeared to be more focused on the amount of leg room on the plane.
