Parts, property stolen from parked vehicles on Lower West Side: police

Chicago police are warning Lower West Side residents about a string of recent thefts from parked vehicles in the area.

In each incident, someone returned to their vehicle to find parts missing or property stolen from inside, Chicago police said.

The six thefts happened at all hours of the day between Dec. 17 and Dec. 26 in:

· The 2400 block of South Leavitt Street;

· The 2600 block of South Leavitt Street;

· The 2000 block of West Coulter Street;

· The 2100 block of West Cermak Road;

· The 2000 block of West 22nd Place; and

· The 2200 block of South Bell Avenue.

Police did not provide a description of any suspects.
