Pregnant woman among three stabbed in Paris knife attack; suspect detained

A man was arrested on Monday after attacking three women with two kitchen knives near Paris's Porte de Clichy, with two severely wounded and one in critical condition, Interior Minister Laurent Nunez said.

The attack occurred at around 11.30 am local time. The victims, aged 19, 24 and 36, were taken to hospital. One of the women, believed to be pregnant, is in critical condition, police said.

Nunez said the man was detained by an off-duty police officer. "I pay tribute to him, it was a courageous act," he added.
