Paris Jackson has shared memories of being brought up by her father, the “king of pop” Michael Jackson.

Model and actor Jackson, who is 22, was the musician’s second child with Debbie Rowe.

Jackson has rarely spoken about life with her father, who died in June 2009 when she was 11, but has opened up about her childhood in a new YouTube interview with Naomi Campbell.

Speaking on the model’s No Filter video series, Jackson said that her father “was really good about making sure we were cultured, making sure we were educated, and not just showing us like the glitz and glam, like hotel hopping, five-star places”.

She continued: “It was also like, we saw everything. We saw third world countries. We saw every part of the spectrum.”

In 2017, Jackson criticised a depiction of her father featured in a one-off TV special titled Urban Myths.

The Sky Arts dramatisation, which starred Joseph Fiennes, charted Jackson’s fabled journey back to the West Coast following 9/11.

The episode was eventually pulled from broadcast.
